When you take your smartphone and play your Android RPG game just remember things weren’t that easy just 10 years ago. We are living in a time where mobile phones market changes on monthly basis. But how did it all begin?
As years pass by, mobile phones are getting more features. There were several upgrades on mobile phones in last 20 years that added a lot to this products. Just 2 decades ago, there were no cameras on phones. Not to mention operating systems where you could play you games like Android RPG. So we got ourselves a camera.
After that we could go online with our mobile phones, and now we can play games with features desktop computer could only dream about 20 years ago. So we are not talking Tetris or some other simple games. Today, each owner of a smart phone has games that are top quality and comparable to Sony PSP and such. Android RPG games are one of those too.
Phones you can play Android RPG on
Sony has released Xperia Play. One of the most popular modern smartphones. It has some great features. One is you can actually play the games like on portable gaming devices. Control system is very much alike those which where from first Sony Playstation, and now you can find it on Playstation 3 or Sony PSP. All this you can thank to Android operating system.
So not only you can play high quality games like Android RPG games, but you can also do so with a good controls. With standard mobile phones you were stuck on keypad and it was tough to play with those little buttons. There also a lot of talk about resurrection of some popular Playstation 1 games. Yes, you might be able to play them on your favourite smartphone soon.
As for right now, there is no Sony Playstation games available as Android RPG, but i bet you there will be soon. Final Fantasy was very popular series and you can be sure it will be released soon for Android and might become your favourite best RPG for Android series. Final Fantasy 7 is probably the most popular and best RPG Android of all times, and i believe that you will be able to play it on your Xperia Play rather soon. This could mean a big change in the market dominated by Apple. Sony might grab a big part of the cake here. This has been happening before with some other game platforms in the past. They were sold on account of one game only sometimes.
Examples of RPG games for Android today
Haypi Kingdom is one of those popular MMORPG. Many people don’t realize that not every Android RPG is just a quick fun. This one is here to last. It is a free and also not only RPG Android but also a strategy game.
One of the best Android RPG games is Zenonia 2. This is a retro RPG in Japanese 2D style, like the old RPGs were, including the FF series. The 2D look good enough in this game. But the game was made i Korea, despite it looks. This is one game I’m sure RPG fans will have a lot of fun exploring.
Ever heard of Gurk? It is a game that is so retro you would have to go back 25 years to find similar RPG. Consequently it is very easy on resources and is only 100K big. Although in color, it is kind of retro. Gurk is RPG for Android that is an absolutely fun game to play with. Gurk has a bunch of levels and monsters to keep you playing on an on. If you are a little older, this will bring back some good memories. Like playing Nintendo.
One more Android RPG is called Dungeon Defenders: First Wave. It is a online multiplayer game where players play together to win against the evil. The best thing is you can get it for free on almost all phones. This is one of Android RPGs that are very beautiful and playable. A pure joy considering you dont pay a dime! You can team up with 4 friend and play together. This multiplayer factor with great graphics will make the fun last for quite some time.
Even if you don’t have Xperia Play, you can find a bunch of Droid RPGs to play with on other phone with Android. Many are free, so you might want to get your hands on them. Square Enix is also hopefully working on getting the FF to the Android users. This will attract even more players to the genre, even the older one who played those series in the 90s. I am one of those and i just hope that Finaly Fantasy 7, though we will have to pay for it, will be the next Android RPG apps on offer.
